About the Session

Youth Reportage on Human Rights
Asia has the largest youth population in the world. The youth are usually known as the most active for the protection of democracy and human rights. The May 18 Memorial Foundation pays attention to the voices of youth activists. In this sense, the Youth Reportage on Human Rights session has been prepared under the theme of "Democracy and Human Rights from Youths' Viewpoint" to provide a platform to bring the voices of youth activists.


청년인권르포
아시아는 세계에서 가장 많은 청년들이 살고 있다. 청년층은 가장 적극적인 활동가이자 민주주의와 인권의 수호를 위한 적극적 활동가로 알려져 있다. 5‧18기념재단은 청년활동가들의 목소리에 관심을 기울이며, “청년의 시각으로 본 민주주의와 인권”이라는 주제로 청년인권르포세션을 구성하여 청년활동가들의 목소리를 들을 수 있는 플랫폼을 제공하려 한다. 본 세션에서는 한국, 방글라데시, 인도, 파키스탄, 필리핀, 태국 청년활동가들의 시각으로 본 자국의 인권 및 민주주의가 직면한 문제와 해결 방안을 모색하고 그 안에서의 나아가야 할 방향을 공유하고자 한다.
